That question, as essential as it is to any assessment of global energy consumption, is very difficult to answer. You would think, given how much time we spend in buildings, how big the real estate and construction industries are, and how useful this knowledge would theoretically be to any company that sells lighting, heating, or cooling equipment around the world, that someone ought to know. But, until recently, you couldn't find any reports that would provide a complete answer.

Real estate facing a problem of surplus - TNN

GURGAON: In a recent voter list survey carried out by the district administration, only 70-75% of total available units in high-rises were found to be occupied. Despite this, there have been as many as 120 high-rise projects launched in the newer sectors. This clearly raises doubt whether there is as much demand as being projected by developers.

DLF to Launch Luxury Residential Project

The country largest realty firm, DLF, plans to launch one of the costliest residential projects here this week offering 38 luxury housing units at a price range of Rs 15-25 crore. Unitech to develop 10mn sqft area in next four months

Realty major Unitech said it will launch 10 million square feet of area in next four months, at an estimated construction cost of Rs 1,500-2,000 crore. “We will launch various projects across the country with a saleable area of 10 million sq ft. The majority of the projects would be mid-segment housing,” a senior company official said. The company would incur a cost of Rs 1,500-2,000 crore over the next three years on construction of 10 million sq ft of area.

Godrej to invest up to Rs 1,500 cr on premium realty project

Diversified business house Godrej today said it will invest up to Rs 1,500 crore to develop a real estate project, comprising luxury homes and a five-star hotel in Mumbai over the next six years. The group's realty arm, Godrej Properties, has launched a 35-acre project -- The Trees -- at Vikhroli, Mumbai with 2.8 million sq ft of spaces.
